What is Alarm Monitoring?
New Age Professionals through an authorised approved alarm monitoring station offers security clients a variety of alarm monitoring services. It could be a home or business security alarm system, monitoring the security system for detection of an intruder while you are away from your home or business.
How is the Monitoring Connected?
Using your current telephone line, we connect a standard telephone plug from your current phone service connection to the alarm system.
How does the Monitoring Work?
When your alarm system is activated, it sends a signal to the monitoring centre by using a specific client code, that your alarm is active. (“ON”). If your alarm is triggered, a signal is sent to the monitoring station, providing information about where the security has breached, and type of detection.
What happens when the Monitoring Station receives the call?
The monitoring centre will open your electronic file for instructions about who you want to notify or dispatch. For example, you can nominate to send a security patrol vehicle to your premises to investigate the alarm.
If the patrol officer finds no visual attempts of a crime, the patrol officer will complete an incident report, and leave it at your premises. If in turn a crime has been discovered or attempted, the patrol officer will call POLICE and the client for further instructions.
What are the RISKS involved?
The risk associated with responding to your own alarm, is that the intruder could be still in your premises, or in the immediate surrounding area. A trained security officer will be able to on most occasions, detect or apprehend an offender.
It is highly recommended that you DO NOT send a neighbour or friend to investigate your alarm activations.
